Description

The White Hart Public House is a public house dating from around 1600, which was reworked in the early and mid 19th century. It features red brick refronting on a timber-framed structure, with a colourwashed brick block on the left-hand side and clay tile roofs. The main block has four bays and was raised to three storeys during the refronting. The left-hand block is two storeys high.

The main block includes an off-centre, three-storeyed projecting bay. To the left of this bay is a flat-roofed porch supported by moulded square section piers, which shelters part-glazed double doors. There is a carriage entrance to the right-hand bay. All windows, including two on the ground floor and four each on the first and second floors, have slightly cambered gauged brick heads. The first and second floor windows are sashes, while the ground floor windows are tripartite, featuring slightly bowed central lights and leaded top lights. A parapet conceals the original roofline.

In the left-hand block, there is one sash window on each floor, with the ground floor window being larger and having a cambered head. There is also a doorway on the right-hand side with a flat hood.
