Description
Sandstone Lodge is a lodge cottage located at Southill Park, built in 1905, as indicated by plaques on the gable ends. The building is constructed of coursed pink sandstone and features a thatched roof. It is a single-storey structure with a two-room layout. On the west elevation, the right-hand side has a semi-circular bay window with casements that include glazing bars and a conical roof. The left-hand side has a roof that extends forward to create a verandah supported by rustic timber, aligned with the bay window. There is an off-centre part-glazed door and a central double ridge stack. Each gable end has a two-light casement with glazing bars on the ground floor and a small quatrefoil light in the attic. There are also single-storey blocks at the rear, one of which is a later 20th-century addition.
