Stableblock. 1795-1800 for Samuel Whitbread II by Henry Holland, as part of the remodelling of Southill Park. White brick with slated mansard roofs. Built around rectangular courtyard, E wing single storeyed, W, N and S wings of one storey and attics. Entrance archway to N wing. Ground floor windows are sashes with glazing bars. Attics have box dormers, mostly with 2-light casements with glazing bars. W range, which contained the stables, has blind windows to W elevation, 6 windows overlooking courtyard, and central clock turret with dome on 8 timber columns.
