Description
The statue, located halfway down South Vista on the west side of Southill Park, is a notable work from 1812 by Sir Henry Cheere, purchased by Samuel Whitbread II. It depicts Minerva, who is holding a shield that features the head of Medusa. The statue is made of lead and stands on a Coade stone plinth, reaching a total height of approximately 2.5 metres.
