Description
The statue at the northeast end of the South Vista in Southill Park is a Grade II listed structure. It is one of a collection of statues created by Sir Henry Cheere, which were purchased in 1812 by Samuel Whitbread II. The statue depicts a man holding a flaming or steaming urn and is believed to be a copy of Girardon's Winter, originally located in the grounds of Versailles. The statue stands on a Coade stone plinth and has a total height of approximately 2.5 meters.
