14/235 Statue at NE end of South Vista

GV II Statue. One of a collection of statuary by Sir Henry Cheere purchased 1812 by Samuel Whitbread II. Lead figure of a man with a flaming or steaming urn, apparently a copy of Girardon's Winter in the grounds of Versailles. Stands on a Coade stone plinth, in total about 2.5 metres high.
