Description

No. 27 on School Lane is a cottage from the Southill Estate, marked with a plaque that reads "S W 1796." The building features colourwashed roughcast over a timber frame and has a clay tile roof. It has a two-room layout, is one storey high with attics, and includes a lean-to addition on the north gable end. The original section of the cottage has two ground floor two-light casement windows and a central box dormer with another two-light casement. There is a central door beneath a gabled hood supported by cut brackets, and a red brick integral stack is located on the south gable end.
