Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a house that belongs to the Southill Estate. It has a plaque indicating it was built in 1801, restored in 1885, and again in 1915. The farmhouse is constructed of brick with a pebbledash render and features a hipped clay tile roof. The main block has a three-room plan and stands two storeys high, with a single-storey block projecting from the rear.
The south elevation presents a symmetrical facade with two five-light casement windows on the ground floor and three two-light casement windows on the first floor, all with segmental-arched heads. The central doorway features a six-panel door set in a moulded surround, topped with an open pedimented hood supported by cut brackets. There are integral red brick stacks on both side elevations, with the paired shafts set diagonally. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
