Description
No. 32 High Street is a cottage from the 18th century, originally built as a pair, located on the Southill Estate. The exterior features colourwashed roughcast over a timber frame and is topped with a thatched roof. The building has a four-room layout and consists of one storey with attics, oriented with its gable end facing the road.
On the west elevation, the ground floor includes four two-light casement windows, three of which are leaded. The attic features two eyebrow dormers, each with two-light leaded casements. The left-hand door is now blocked, while the right-hand side has a part-glazed door set beneath an open rustic trellis. There is one red brick ridge stack and two red brick integral gable end stacks. To the north, there is a single-storey outhouse that has two plank doors and one window with paired round-headed leaded lights.
