Description

No. 71 on Main Street is a cottage dating from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It is built of brick on a cobble and moulded brick plinth, topped with a Swithland slate roof. The cottage has two storeys and features a single unit plan. To the left, there is a four-panelled door beneath a flat porch canopy, while to the right, there are three-light casements on each floor, with the lower window having a cambered brick head. The building is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice and has a tall brick stack on the right-hand gable.
