Description
No. 81 on Main Street is a house that was formerly a vicarage, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a low-pitched Welsh slate roof in the Italianate villa style. The building has two storeys and three bays, with the central bay slightly projecting and topped with a narrow gable that has overhanging eaves.
The entrance is marked by a doorway framed in wood with an architrave and a flat canopied head supported by consoles. On the first floor, there is a 12-light sash window, and in the gable apex, a round window is adorned with four stuccoed keystones. The left bay has a renewed ground floor window that fits the original opening, featuring a flat arched brick head with a stuccoed keystone. The right bay includes a roofed canted bay window on the ground floor, which also has sash windows. The upper windows are 12-light sashes with flat arched heads and stuccoed keystones. The house has side wall and axial stacks, and at the rear, there is a three-gable range along with a single-storey extension with a hipped roof, which is recessed to the left.
