Description

No. 1261 on Melton Road is a cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is built of painted brick and features a Swithland slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-unit plan. A central doorway is set within a small gabled porch, and there are three-light horizontally sliding sash windows on each floor, with the lower windows having cambered brick heads. The building has a plain wood eaves cornice and gable end stacks.
