Description

This is an L-shaped range of barns located to the north of Brook End Green Farmhouse. The complex dates from the 17th century for the northern part and from the late 18th century or early 19th century for the eastern part. The northern range is timber-framed, resting on a low brick wall, and is weatherboarded with a modern galvanised iron roof. Originally, it was nine bays long and features double collared trusses, with the east end floored. The eastern range is constructed of brick and has an old timber roof covered with galvanised iron. It is also nine bays long and has several blocked windows, particularly on the west side. This structure is included for its group value with Brook End Green Farmhouse.
