Description
Grange Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with 19th-century additions. It features a rendered exterior over a substantial but plain timber frame and some red brick, topped with a clay tile roof that is partly new and partly old. The building has a basic L-shaped plan, with an extended cross wing at the west end, which is constructed of brick. There is a 19th-century extension to the east of the main wing, where the front door has a gabled hood and has replaced a now-blocked front door in a two-storey gabled porch, located opposite a central back-to-back fireplace. The main wing is two storeys high and contains four casement windows, some of which are leaded and others have glazing bars. To the west of the main porch, there is a two-storey 19th-century canted bay window. Additionally, there is a single-storey rear wing made of brick.
