Description

The barns at Grange Farm are a rectangular group dating from the 17th to the 19th century, located to the west of the farmhouse. The most notable structures are the threshing barns on the north and south sides, which have 17th-century origins. They feature a timber frame with weatherboarding and modern roofs. Although the cart entrances have been reduced in height, the basic plan of the barns remains unchanged. The timber frame is intact up to the wall plate level and includes arched braces in the main trusses. These barns are included for their group value with Grange Farmhouse.
