Description
Brook End Green Farmhouse is a substantial early 19th-century farmhouse, possibly incorporating earlier elements, situated within a medieval moated site. The building is constructed of local red brick and features an old clay tile roof. It has an L-shaped plan with a double-pitched hipped roof on the south and west sides. A large red brick chimney stack is located at the center of the west ridge, with an additional external stack at the east end.
The farmhouse is two storeys high. The south elevation includes two sash windows on either side of a double panelled recessed front door, which is adorned with fluted side pilasters and a bracketed hood above. There is a modern bay window at the east end. On the first floor, there are four sash windows. The west elevation features four sash windows on the ground floor and four on the first floor, with the upper central two being blocked. All windows are topped with flat arches and have glazing bars.
