Description
No. 47 Bedford Street is a house from the late 18th century, though it may cover an earlier structure. The exterior features colourwashed brick and render, with a rear block made of red brick that has some vitrified bricks. The roof is tiled and dates from the 20th century. The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and attics. On the ground floor, there are three windows, with the left-hand one being blind. The first floor has four windows, with the first and third ones also being blind. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set under flat heads. The doorway on the right-hand side is from the 20th century, replacing the original passageway that led to an entrance at the rear. There is a substantial red brick integral stack at the left-hand gable end and at the end of the rear block.
