Description

Hope Cottage is a cottage dating to circa 1700. It is constructed with a timber frame, colour washed and rendered, set beneath a thatched roof which is hipped at the east end. The cottage follows a 4-room plan and has one storey. It features five 2-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars. There are two 4-panel flush doors. A red brick ridge stack is located centrally. The cottage has a one-storey and attic appearance. A colour-washed addition with a thatched roof was added to the west gable end in the 20th century.
