Description

This is a group of cottages located at 28, 30, 32, and 34 High Street, dating from around 1700. They feature a colour washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and are topped with thatch. The cottages are arranged in an L-plan and vary in the number of bays, with one storey and attics, although numbers 32 and 34 are slightly taller. There is a variety of window styles, including five dormers. Numbers 28 and 30 have retained their horizontal sash windows, which are mostly two-light, except for one three-light window. There are six doorways, primarily fitted with plank doors. The cottages also have three gault brick double ridge stacks and one gable end stack on number 34.
