Description

The pair of cottages at 46 and 48 High Street date to the 18th century. They are built with a timber frame and have a rough cast finish. The roof is thatched and hipped, with a double ridge stack constructed of gault brick. The cottages have a four-room plan and are one storey in height, with attics. The ground floor has five horizontal sash windows, with all but one being two-light. There are three dormers, containing two-light and three-light casement windows. A one-plank door is located on the right-hand side, and another on the south elevation. A red brick stack is located to the south of the rear elevation.
