Description

Scuttle Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700. It has a timber frame with some areas of colour washed brick infill and colour washed plaster that is incised to imitate ashlar. The roof is thatched. The cottage has a three-bay plan and is one storey with attics. On the south elevation, the ground floor features two 2-light casements and one 2-light horizontal sash window, while the attic includes a dormer with a 2-light horizontal sash window, all of which have glazing bars. There is a 20th-century door and porch aligned with a red brick double ridge stack. Additionally, there are 20th-century one-storey additions to the west and north.
