Description

No. 64 on Great North Road is a house that was formerly known as the Queen's Head public house. It dates back to the 17th century and was refronted in the 18th century. The building features colour washed brick over a timber frame and has an old clay tile roof. It has a three-room plan and stands two storeys tall. There are three flush sash windows on each floor, all with glazing bars; the ground floor windows have cambered heads. The entrance includes a 19th-century four-panel door with a moulded surround, aligned with a rebuilt red brick double ridge stack.
