Description

Nos 66 and 68 on Great North Road are a 17th-century house constructed with colour washed rough cast over a timber frame, while the ground floor of the northern wing is made of colour washed brick. The building features an old clay tile roof and is designed in an L-plan, comprising one storey and attics. The northern wing has two sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor and two box dormers, one containing a two-light casement window and the other a two-light horizontal sash window. The projecting gable on the south side has two 20th-century ground floor casement windows. There are doors on the left and center of the northern wing, with the central door featuring a gabled hood. The ridge stack has been rebuilt and consists of three joined shafts.
