Description

The Crown Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a colour washed rough cast exterior over a timber frame and an old clay tile roof. The building has a three-room plan and stands two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are three canted bay windows from the 19th century, while the first floor has three 2-light casement windows, all with leaded lights. The front door is set in a moulded surround and has a flat cut-bracketed hood. There is one gable end stack on the south side and one ridge stack, both made of brick and covered in colour washed rough cast. The rear of the building includes various one and two-storey additions.
