Description

The Methodist Chapel, built around 1850, is designed in the Romanesque style and constructed from gault brick. It features a slated roof with an elaborately decorated gable parapet. The chapel has a five-window frontage and a four-window return, with round-arched openings that have enriched mouldings and dogtooth decoration, all made of brick. There are moulded sill bands and impost bands at the ground floor level. The windows are fitted with radial glazing bars and margin lights. The entrance includes a doorway flanked by columns, and there is a blind lunette in the gable that has a plaque inscribed 'Methodist Chapel 1850'. This building is noted for its curiosity value.
