Description
Virginia Cottage, Ivy Cottage, and Palmers Cottage are a terrace group of three houses with an adjoining outbuilding, located on the north side of Turvey High Street. The easternmost house, Virginia Cottage, is dated 1825 and constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a slate roof. Virginia Cottage features two storeys and attics, while the other two houses are two storeys high. The middle house slightly projects forward and has a flat-roofed dormer with a three-light casement window that includes glazing bars. It also has a similarly styled window on the ground floor. Virginia Cottage has two three-light casements on each floor and a central doorway. The western house mirrors this symmetrical arrangement. At the western end, there is an outbuilding with double barn doors.
