Description

The Wollery is a pair of large semi-detached houses likely dating from the mid-19th century. Constructed of coursed limestone rubble, the roofs are covered with banded fishscale and plain clay tiles. The building has a five-bay plan with projecting gabled sections on the north elevation, and central red brick chimney stacks.

The north elevation exhibits a symmetrical design, with a single three-pane window in the attic of each gable end. The windows pivot and are paired with a semi-circular fixed light above, featuring simplified Gothic tracery. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars arranged in a 1:4:1 pattern, while the ground floor is arranged 1:2:1. Each angle between the central block and projecting gables features a doorway topped with a gabled hood supported by moulded brackets, and decorated with cusped, openwork bargeboards.
