Description

No. 8 High Street is a 17th-century house that was slightly altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched roof covered with a combination of 19th-century fishscale and plain tiles. The house has a two-bay plan and is one storey high with attics. The northern gable end is topped with a 19th-century drop finial and has an attic window that is a two-light casement with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there is a six-pane fixed light window. The gable ends also feature red brick ridge chimney stacks.
