Description
The former voluntary controlled lower school and schoolhouse is a building from the mid-19th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble and topped with an old fishscale clay tile roof. It features stone coping with moulded finials and kneelers on all gable ends and is designed in an L-shape. The schoolroom is located on the eastern side, with its gable end facing the road. The northern gable has a tall four-light window with a high-level transom. The western elevation includes two two-light windows. Adjacent to the schoolroom is the two-storey schoolhouse, which has a two-bay design. On the northern elevation of the schoolhouse, the first floor features two two-light leaded casements with stone mullions, while the ground floor has two three-light casements of the same style flanking a central doorway.
