Description
Church Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Melchbourne, near Yielden, on Park Road. The building is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, with a colour-washed finish. It has a thatched roof. The cottage follows a T-plan form, with a central red brick chimney stack. It is two storeys high. The east elevation's left bay features a sash window on the ground floor. Above it is a 2-light casement window. A central projecting wing contains a 20th-century doorway and a 2-light casement window on the first floor. All windows have glazing bars. The right bay includes a 20th-century single-storey lean-to extension.
