Description
35 Knotting Road is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a rough cast exterior over a timber frame, with a brick and rough cast bay on the southwest side, all of which is color washed. The cottage has three bays, is two stories tall with attics, and includes an integral gable end stack on the northeast side and a ridge stack, both made of red brick.
On the southeast elevation, there is a modern casement window on the ground floor to the left. The right side has a two-light casement window with glazing bars, an off-centre front door, and a leaded two-light horizontal sash window on the ground floor. The first floor has two two-light casement windows with glazing bars.
There is a late 19th-century one-storey color washed brick extension on the northeast gable end, and a dentil cornice at the eaves. The roof is modern tiled, and there is also a late 19th-century lean-to extension on the southwest end, constructed of red brick with a pantiled roof.
