Nos. 1 and 2 Sharnside are a pair of cottages dating from 1689, marked by the datestone HW SR. They are constructed from limestone rubble with a thatched roof and stand two storeys tall. The front elevation features two dormers and three casement windows on the first floor, while the ground floor has modern windows and porches. There is a small brick extension on the north side.
