Description
Nos. 15 and 17 High Street are a pair of cottages, likely converted from an outbuilding, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 19th century. They are built from coursed limestone rubble with some ironstone and feature a slate roof. The 19th-century moulded stone stack has twin shafts on a polygonal base.
On the street front, each cottage has a three-light horizontally-sliding sash window and a single-light window on the ground floor, along with a two-light window above. Wooden lintels and wall-tie ends are present. At the rear, each cottage has a 19th-century four-panel door with a single-light window beneath a continuous wooden lintel, and a two-light window above. The interior has not been inspected. These cottages are included for their group value.
