Description

The Baptist Chapel, dated 1834, stands on the High Street in Cranford St. John. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with dressings in ironstone, and has a hipped slate roof. Ironstone quoins define the corners. The chapel has two small windows, each with six panes in the upper section, seven in the lower, and a central opening light, all set beneath wooden lintels. A 20th-century porch with double doors has been added to the left side. The building was known as Cranford Union Chapel until 1944. The interior has not been inspected.
