Description

This is a house dating back to the 17th century, which was altered in the 19th century to become a shop and later reconverted to residential use in the 20th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble, with some wattle and daub visible internally, and has an old clay tile roof. The house is two storeys high with attics. The front elevation facing High Street has four sash windows on the ground floor, each with multiple panes of glass. There are three similar windows on the first floor, along with one casement window. Three flat-headed dormers light the attic space. The north corner of the building has been chamfered for nearly its entire height to allow for the insertion of a front door. A double-sided chimney is present.
