Description
Home Cottage is a 17th century cottage that was originally two separate dwellings. It features a timber frame with colour washed plaster and has a northeast gable end along with an adjoining external chimney stack made of colour washed brick. The roof is thatched. The cottage has a three-room plan and is one storey high with attics. There is a colour washed brick double ridge stack that serves back-to-back hearths.
On the southeast elevation, there is one two-light casement window and two three-light casement windows, all with glazing bars. The northwest elevation has three three-light casement windows and one gabled dormer, which also contains a three-light casement window. All four windows feature leaded lights and moulded mullions.
