Description
Twelve Tree Farmhouse is a late 16th or early 17th century farmhouse located on the south side of Church Lane in Melchbourne and Yielden. The farmhouse is colour-washed rough cast over a timber frame, set on a substantial limestone rubble plinth. It has a slate roof. The main building is large, originally comprising two rooms, and features an external stack of coursed limestone rubble with a red brick top to the north gable. The west elevation has, on the ground floor, one three-light casement window and one fixed light with glazing bars. The first floor has two two-light Yorkshire sliding sash windows with glazing bars. A single-bay red brick extension, pantiled and partially colour-washed, adjoins the north gable and is one storey with attics. To the west of this extension is a small, single-storey red brick, pantiled extension.
