Description

York Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features colour washed plaster over a timber frame, with a substantial coursed limestone rubble chimney visible at the south end. The cottage has a two-room plan and is one storey high with attics. On the east elevation, there is a front door located to the left of centre, along with two 2-light casement windows; the one on the right is set in a moulded frame and has leaded lights. Additionally, there are two dormers, each with leaded 2-light casements. The cottage also has two red brick integral gable end stacks.
