Description

Chapel Cottage is a former Sunday School that has been converted into a private dwelling. It dates from the 19th century and is constructed of gault brick, featuring some slate and 20th-century tile roofs. The building is single-storey, with a central hall flanked by recessed wings that have a lower roofline. The left wing is colour washed.

The central hall has three recesses with cambered heads, the middle one featuring double panelled doors beneath a 20th-century sloping hood. Each side bay includes a rectangular window frame with three lights and arcaded heads, topped with a moulded hood that has rosettes at the ends.

The side wings each have two two-light windows; the windows on the right are original horizontal sashes with glazing bars. Both wings have hipped roofs and the entire building is adorned with a wide spaced dentil eaves course.
