Description

The Elms is a cottage dating from around 1700. It features a timber frame with some areas of colour washed plaster infill and rough cast. The thatched roof has three bays and is one storey high with attics. There is one red brick ridge stack, one red brick integral stack on the southwest gable end, and one external stack on the southeast elevation. The southeast elevation includes 20th-century casements and French windows on the ground floor, along with two dormers that have 20th-century casements. The roof is hipped to the southwest and half-hipped to the northeast. There is also a 20th-century extension at a right angle to the north.
