Description
Brook End Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that features a timber frame, with some areas rough cast and others filled with brick, all of which is color washed. The roof is made of clay tiles and has an old T-plan layout. The main block has two storeys and attics, while the rear wing is one storey with attics.
On the northwest elevation, there is a 19th-century gabled porch with ridge cresting located to the left of center. The ground floor has three 2-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars, and the first floor has three 3-light horizontal sashes set in moulded frames with leaded lights. There are also three gabled dormers featuring 2-light leaded casements. Additionally, there are single-storey lean-to extensions on both gable ends. The farmhouse has one red brick ridge stack and one red brick external stack on the southwest gable end. The rear wing retains some horizontal sash windows as well.
