Description

The Little Pyghtle is an 18th-century cottage located on Pertenhall Road in Brook End, Keysoe. It features a timber frame with colour washed plaster infill and has a 20th-century asbestos roof topped with pierced clay ridge cresting. The cottage has a three-bay plan, with the northeast bay being a 20th-century addition. It is one storey high with attics, and has two ground floor windows and one box dormer, all fitted with two-light horizontal sashes that have diamond leading. The entrance door is located in the right-hand bay, and there is a red brick ridge stack, which is a gable end stack predating the later addition. Additionally, there is a single-storey addition at the rear.
