Description

This is a barn located about 15 metres south-east of Oakfield Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century with some alterations from the mid-19th century. The barn is constructed with a timber frame on a brick plinth, covered in weatherboarding, and features a tiled roof that is half-hipped at the north-west end. It consists of five framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east alignment, with a central threshing floor. The framing includes two rectangular panels in height, and the intermediate trusses have two raking struts, while the gables are supported by two struts leading to the collar. Note that Oakfield Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
