Description

These are five gate piers located about 20 metres west of Wolverley House. They date from the mid-18th century and have some late 19th-century alterations. The piers are made of sandstone ashlar and are square in plan. There are two larger piers at the centre with a pedestrian entrance formed by a third pier to the left. Low flank walls are topped with wooden railings in the Chinese Chippendale style, which flank the piers. Each pier features a moulded cornice and ball finials, with rusticated blocks below.
