Description
This is a pair of gate piers from the 18th century, located approximately 50 metres southwest of Lancashire Lodge. They are made of sandstone ashlar and designed in a classical style. Each pier is square in section and stands about 4 metres high. The piers feature moulded bases, rusticated surfaces, moulded caps, and moulded pedestals topped with large ball finials. It is said that these piers were removed to this site from Lathom Hall.
