Description

These are a pair of gate piers, likely dating from the mid-19th century, situated on Edgerton Road. They are constructed of ashlar stone. The piers are distinguished by a deeply projecting moulded eaves cornice and semi-circular top sections (acroteria) featuring unusual geometric incised decoration. Two further, identical piers are present at each boundary wall. Low walls with chamfered coping stones run alongside the piers.
