Description
The former tram shelter, located just east of numbers 18 and 20 on Edgerton Road, is a late 19th-century structure. It features a timber-framed and planked design with a pyramidal slate roof that has sprockets, two terracotta finials, and flat-topped louvres. The eaves are supported by console-shaped brackets. The lower part of the shelter has moulded panels up to dado height. Above this, there are depressed arched openings with moulded spandrels and keyblocks, each topped with a tiny pediment. The entrance is distinguished by a shaped lintel and a pedimented gable positioned just above the eaves, supported by extra large consoles.
