Description
Black and White Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with a late 20th-century extension. It features a timber-frame structure with rendered infill and is aligned north-east to south-west. The cottage has one bay and an external stack on the north-east gable. It is one storey high with an attic that is lit by a window in the gable end. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window, and the entrance is located in the single-storey late 20th-century extension to the left. The framing has been partly rebuilt in brick, with one square panel remaining below the wall-plate. The right-hand gable truss has three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
