Description

Two houses, dating from the early 19th century with alterations in the late 20th century. The houses are built with brick on a stone plinth and have a tile roof, featuring a central chimney stack. They are two storeys high, with a stepped brick cornice and four windows on each floor. The upper floor windows are two-light casements, while the ground floor windows are also two-light casements, but set within segmental brick arches. The entrance to number 47 is located between two windows on the left side and is approached by three stone steps, featuring a wooden architrave under a segmental head with a 20th-century panelled door. The entrance to number 48 is similarly placed between two windows on the right side and is accessed by five brick steps, also with a wooden architrave under a segmental head and a 20th-century panelled door. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
