Description

Wyre Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with mid-19th century and some late 20th century alterations. It features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill, topped by a tile roof and a gable end stack. The building is one storey high with an attic, which is lit by two gabled dormers. On the ground floor, there are two 2-light casement windows, and the entrance is located at the right-hand corner, featuring a gabled tiled canopy and a 20th century ledged and boarded door. The timber framing consists of three square panels high with straight tension braces, and the gable end truss has two struts supporting the collar.
