Description
67 Load Street is a house that has been converted into a public house. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the late 19th and late 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof with a stack at the rear. It stands three storeys tall and has a stone-coped parapet.
The front of the building has three windows; the upper two floors feature glazing bar sashes with plastered wedge lintels and stone sills. The ground floor has a moulded cornice that extends over a signboard across the entire front. To the left, there is a pilastered multi-pane shop window, and to the right-hand corner, there is an entrance with a doorcase that has fluted pilasters supporting an open pediment. The door itself consists of six raised and fielded panels, with the upper two panels being glazed.
